Kelley Fox

Board Chair

Kelley started with a Degree in Sociology from Fort Lewis College and a Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado. In December 1989 Kelley was in a car accident which paralyzed her from the waist down. A few years later, she began competitive ski racing and became a member of the US Adaptive Ski Team from 1992-1998. Kelley competed around the world including the 1994 Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway where she won two silver medals for downhill skiing and slalom. She also won a gold medal in the 1996 World Championships for downhill skiing.

When Kelley retired from racing, she ran her own Interior Design business from 2002-2016. More recently, Kelley has become interested in cooking and is taking classes to gain more knowledgeable culinary skills. During this time, she also raised her daughter which has been her greatest accomplishment in life. Now, happily married, Kelley and her husband reside in Denver where they enjoy being outdoors and spending time with their husky. Kelley loves to travel and she and her husband plan to tour the world together. Kelley also continues to ski recreationally each winter. With a passion for empowering the adaptive community, Kelley is excited to continue this work with Women’s World on Wheels.
